Nomadik is the creative outlet for Anthony Bonello for all things motorcycles and adventure. Born from an overland journey through Africa in 2017, over the last decade it has morphed into a pursuit of racing the iconic Dakar Rally.

Ireland to South Africa 2027

Originally conceived 12 years prior to departure, in 2017 my good friend Richard Brown and I set off on an overland expedition, north to south through Africa down the west coast. Over the next 3 months we experienced the endless expanse of the Sahara Desert and the savannahs of Senegal, Mali and Bukina Faso, before plunging headlong into the heart of Africa through Nigeria and the Congos, only to emerge into the mythic landscapes of Namibia before we ran out of continent in Cape Town, South Africa. It was an adventure that has stayed with us in a visceral sense since. Living with only that which we could carry on a bike and the kindness of the folks we met along the way was pure freedom.
